The ASEAN data centre market is booming like never before with an expected CAGR of over 8% during the period 2021-2026. Some experts even predict that it will achieve a CAGR of 13% to reach $3.4billion by 2024.

As the fastest growing data centre region in the world, it’s no news that ASEAN is witnessing massive digital transformation across industry verticals along with a brimming younger population that is highly tech savvy, thereby driving data centre growth at an unprecedented pace.

Corporate behemoths such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Equinix have chosen ASEAN as the ideal destination to relocate their data centres. It’s only too obvious that to sustain the global data centre hotbed, the need for robust IT infrastructure becomes pivotal. The competition among the providers solely rests on their end-to-end service offering capabilities. With the continuous adoption of Big data, IoT, and AI the usage of application workload-specific server infrastructure has also grown.

As a market, ASEAN prioritizes IT infrastructure providers that enable real-time monitoring and management solutions. Enabling better expertise in installation at a local level and opting for a commission-based services approach through training will aid more market revenue for the providers.

Below mentioned are the top 10 Data Centre Critical (IT) Infrastructure Providers in ASEAN:

1. Dell Technologies: Dell Technologies power data centres across the world in terms of server, storage, and network solutions. In 2019, it launched Dell Technologies On Demand as a one-stop to end-to-end Dell Technologies portfolio with flexible consumption options that provide IT with the agility of cloud and the stability of on-premises infrastructure.

2. IBM: IBM is moving towards capitalizing on the hybrid cloud opportunity in ASEAN as the Southeast Asian organizations are aiming to modernise their applications and systems.
